Born into a family of mechanics, Matt had a wrench in his hand since day one. Starting out, he worked for his family’s auto truck and equipment repair company for several years. In 2000, Matt transitioned to a role in one of Iowa’s largest rural water districts, where he would spend the next two decades of his professional life. During his time there, he took on various roles, ultimately becoming the Operations and Compliance Manager where he oversaw operations spanning 13 counties.

Matt brings his extensive experience and knowledge in water and wastewater management, holding both a grade 4 water treatment and distribution operator license, as well as a grade 1 wastewater treatment operator license. His journey then led him to Northern Alabama, where he served as the Public Utilities Director. As much as he and his wife enjoyed Alabama, the desire to be closer to their daughters as they start their own families, and a long-held dream of settling down in the Lake of the Ozarks brought him back to the Midwest.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, a wonderful group of friends and extended family. His passions include weekend jeep adventures and savoring the lake life. A peaceful weekend for him involves hitting the backroads with fishing poles tucked behind the seat. You might also find him at a dirt track on a warm summer night, boating, hiking in the woods, or engaging in any outdoor activity. Matt has a deep love for travel, exploring new places, and making new friends, which aligns perfectly with my role of traveling our territories and meeting people along the way.

Matt holds a degree in Business Management, complementing his extensive field knowledge and enabling him to contribute to the business side of the industry. With prior experience managing a system comprising forty water tanks and towers, he is well-equipped to assist customers of all sizes with their needs.
